BEHAVIORAL & SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR

Sarah Lowery ALC

Sarah Lowery believes therapy should be a place where clients feel understood as people, not defined by their challenges.

With a background in both clinical mental health counseling and marriage, couples, and family counseling, Sarah considers the whole person when helping clients understand what may be contributing to emotional or behavioral challenges. She has a particular passion for working with children and families, especially those navigating behaviors that can sometimes be misunderstood as simply having a hard time “being good.”

Her goal is to provide a compassionate, humanizing space where clients of all ages feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, understanding their experiences, and developing tools to move forward.

SPECIALTIES

Sarah uses a biopsychosocial approach, considering how biological, psychological, and social factors can influence a person’s emotional well-being.

Because every client and situation is different, she adapts her therapeutic methods to meet individual needs. Education is a consistent part of her approach, helping clients and families better understand what they are experiencing and giving them practical tools to navigate challenges with greater confidence.
