BEHAVIORAL & SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR
Scott Thompson ALC
Scott Thompson believes therapy can help people better understand what’s beneath their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions, not simply manage what appears on the surface.
Working with teens and adults, Scott helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, major life transitions, divorce, and the challenges of single parenthood. His approach centers on building greater self-awareness and self-compassion while helping clients recognize their needs and discover healthier ways to meet them.
Scott creates a thoughtful, supportive environment where clients can gain new perspectives, work through difficult experiences, and move toward meaningful personal growth.

SPECIALTIES
Scott takes a holistic approach to counseling, considering the biological, psychological, spiritual, and social factors that can influence a person’s well-being.
He believes that thoughts and behaviors that become problematic may have developed as attempts to meet valid underlying needs. Rather than focusing solely on changing those behaviors, Scott works collaboratively with clients to understand what is driving them, build self-compassion, and identify healthier ways to move forward.

His Mission
Scott’s mission is to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and greater compassion for where they are in life. Through a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship, he helps clients uncover their needs, approach challenges from new perspectives, and create meaningful opportunities for growth.
