Te’Asia Mason, is an LPC and Alabama native deeply committed to helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, family conflict, self-exploration and the unique challenges associated with autism spectrum disorder. With 6 years of diverse experience in the mental health field, she is passionate about providing specialized support for children, adolescents, teens, and adults.
Ms. Mason holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, backed by extensive training and certifications. Her journey in mental health began as a Registered Behavior Technician, providing behavioral services to children and teens diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Further enriching her skills, she completed a rigorous internship at the University of Alabama in Huntsville Counseling Center, providing counseling services to students and engaging in outreach activities.
Her expertise lies in treating anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, family conflict, self-esteem issues, and self-exploration among children, teens and adults. Her commitment to evidence-based practices is reflected in her use of behavioral therapy, Rogerian therapy, narrative therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness therapy. Additionally, she utilizes her experience in Applied Behavior Analysis to offer a unique counseling approach for individuals with ASD.
In therapy, she believes in a collaborative effort between the client and counselor to explore the best possible solutions. She prides herself on authenticity, determination, and transparency in her interactions with clients. Making the decision to begin therapy can be intimidating but Ms. Mason believes in “meeting you halfway to build a strong therapeutic relationship to ensure a positive outcome.
